主角將接受阿鏡博士的委託而造訪擁有豐富大自然的各座島嶼，透過拍下野生寶可夢生氣勃勃的照片來展開生態調查。歡迎來一邊發現寶可夢們在野生環境中特有的表情與動作，一邊完成專屬自己的寶可夢寫真圖鑑！

探究「霓光現象」之謎！

在藍蒂爾地區能觀測到寶可夢或草木會發光的「霓光現象」。這是藍蒂爾地區獨有的現象，也是阿鏡博士正在研究的課題之一。在調查寶可夢生態的同時，也調查一下霓光現象之謎吧。
